About About the Pat Lenertz Band: Get ready for a soulful, high-energy performance as the Pat Lenertz Band takes the stage at Detroit Lakes! Hailing from the vibrant Fargo-Moorhead music scene, this seasoned group brings a rich blend of Americana, blues, rock, country, reggae, funk, and jam music—a sound as diverse and heartfelt as the stories they tell.

Frontman Pat Lenertz has been a musical force since his teenage years, first stepping into the spotlight in 1999 with his blues-inspired band Bad Mojo. Over the decades, Pat has become a respected pillar of the regional music community, known for his raw vocals, masterful guitar work, and deep emotional connection to his craft. His solo album Love, Loss, & Regret showcased his songwriting prowess and collaborative spirit, featuring 24 local musicians and a wide range of musical styles.

The Pat Lenertz Band was born out of the camaraderie of open jam nights at Sidestreet Grille and Pub, where Pat joined forces with bassist Travis Atwood, drummer Trevor Pearson, and pianist Mike Jenkins. Together, they’ve cultivated a sound that’s both tight and spontaneous, often welcoming guest guitarists to add fresh energy to their live sets.

Whether channeling the spirit of John Prine, Jerry Garcia, or Willie Nelson, Pat and his band deliver performances that are heartfelt, dynamic, and unforgettable. Their music is more than entertainment—it’s a celebration of connection, community, and the joy of live performance.

So grab a seat, kick back, and let the Pat Lenertz Band take you on a musical journey you won’t soon forget!

About About the Broken Strings Guitar Club: Working as an extension of Project 412, Broken Strings Guitar Club aims to donate guitars to aspiring musicians and spread the joy of music.

When gifted a guitar by his uncle, Bill Kvebak chose to give it to a Detroit Lakes High School student. His generosity inspired the idea behind the Broken Strings Guitar Club. After kicking around a few ideas, a nonprofit was formed aiming to donate guitars to aspiring musicians and spread the joy of music.

In 2023, the Broken Strings Guitar Club partnered with Project 412 (Detroit Lakes, MN). The partnership was essential in helping launch the Broken Strings Guitar Club, and we are grateful for the platform they provided. The Broken Strings Guitar Club is based in Detroit Lakes, MN, and its founders are Jake Swiers, Bill Kvebak, and Tanner Beauchman.

Creating a place that people want to be is critical, and we have the opportunity to invest in Detroit Lakes as a place by investing in public art, recreation, and events and experiences.

Detroit Lakes is home to many wonderful businesses. As a tourist destination, DL is primed for additional new businesses that cater to visitors and locals alike. From unique restaurants and retail shops to food trucks, rock climbing gyms, and art galleries, there are so many opportunities to create businesses that give our community character. We can create an environment that supports our current businesses and encourages entrepreneurs to start-up businesses that will make Detroit Lakes even more unique and memorable.
