Lovely Weekend Stay with Amazing Views

This is a very nice resort on the northeast side of Detroit Lakes, on the East shore. The grounds are lovely with a nice, clean sandy beach. The buffet complimentary breakfast (currently using Grab & Go Bags while Covid precautions are in place) is above average, with a lovely variety of choices, along with organic coffee. The handicap accessible room was very comfortable with the most accommodating amenities we have seen. We enjoyed a walk out main level room to the lawn and beach area. Patio furniture outside our door to enjoy the beautiful sunset. The grounds are groomed but also pay special attention to maintaining natural habitat which is gorgeous. Near many restaurants, convenience stores, and just about everything you need. The onsite spa looked lovely, although we did not use the services. The staff was very friendly and there were special touches throughout the resort, such as refreshing “lemon grass” wash towels at the front desk to refresh your face and skin after an outing, a complimentary nightly “Smores” bar (roasting your own marshmallows), and live music on Thursday nights in the lounge. ADA Accessible Accommodations

The Lodge offers three room types to guests with ADA Accessibilty needs. These rooms and suites make it easier for disabled persons to enter and leave; are on the first floor and feature wider doorways to the bedroom and bathroom. Our accessible accommodations have features to help guests with additional access requirements. Bathrooms are bigger, the tub in the Family Suite has handles, while the Resort Rooms offer roll-in showers and all have assistive listening devices. All bathrooms also provide the latest compliance with room for a wheelchair next to the toilet.

All ADA accessible rooms and suites provide doors and doorways (at least 32-inches of clear width passage), with clear floor space and accessible HVAC and lighting controls. Guest room Communication Assist Features include Closed-caption televisions, visual notification devices for telephones, telephones volume control and visual fire and smoke alarms for your safety. Room signage is 60-inches to sign center above finished floor.
