What you need to know about Detroit Lakes Trucks & Tunes:
• Bring a chair or blanket and join us for free live music and food trucks at the DL City Park.
• Emceed by the Broken String Guitar Club with bands starting at 6pm.
• In case of rain, bands will move to Bucks Mill Brewing (824 Washington Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN), and food trucks will move to Washington Avenue.

About Adessa & the Beat: Adessa & The Beat is known for belting out Americana, classic singer/songwriter, strong on the 70’s B-side titles that evoke memories from the days when vinyl was king. They would like to add original songs to their play set which would allow them to step up their festival play with bigger venues. The band performs regularly at the Eagles Club in Grand Rapids, which offers a large dance area to swing, dip and move to the magic of the band’s mix of songs. Adessa & The Beat have ascended in leaps and bounds the past couple of years – so busy they have signed with booking agent Sabrina Olson from Studio 35 Music in Anoka. If you haven’t heard them, you haven’t been out and about. Don’t miss this amazing artist collaboration. It is the big sound to follow.
Adessa Cournoyer, at age 29, is the youngest of the pack, the powerful lead vocalist, known for her wide brimmed hats and smashing stage fashion, she is every bit a mix of Crystal Gayle, Stevie Nicks, and Joni Mitchell. Her dad was a disc jockey in the days of record spinning during the 70s & 80s.
