2024 Detroit Lakes Trucks & Tunes invites you to join Pistol Whippin Party Penguins from Minneapolis as they work to maintain the original spirit of traditional American music while continuing to play new original music and creative cover songs. The combination of folk, rock, blues, bluegrass, and the occasional stage banter will create an experience that anyone can enjoy!
What you need to know about Detroit Lakes Trucks & Tunes:
• Bring a chair or blanket and join us for free live music and food trucks at the DL City Park.
• Emceed by the Broken String Guitar Club with bands starting at 6pm.
• In case of rain, bands will move to Bucks Mill Brewing (824 Washington Ave, Detroit Lakes, MN), and food trucks will move to Washington Avenue.

About About the Broken Strings Guitar Club: Working as an extension of Project 412, Broken Strings Guitar Club aims to donate guitars to aspiring musicians and spread the joy of music.
When gifted a guitar by his uncle, Bill Kvebak chose to give it to a Detroit Lakes High School student. His generosity inspired the idea behind the Broken Strings Guitar Club. After kicking around a few ideas, a nonprofit was formed aiming to donate guitars to aspiring musicians and spread the joy of music.
In 2023, the Broken Strings Guitar Club partnered with Project 412 (Detroit Lakes, MN). The partnership was essential in helping launch the Broken Strings Guitar Club, and we are grateful for the platform they provided. The Broken Strings Guitar Club is based in Detroit Lakes, MN, and its founders are Jake Swiers, Bill Kvebak, and Tanner Beauchman.
