Boats & Bars returns to Detroit Lakes! Cruise the lake, enjoy live music at six venues, and support local charities with your ticket. Starts at Zorbaz at 10 AM! Music on the Sandbar starts at 1pm! The Five establishments around the lake also have music. A ticket, which is a contribution to a local charity, will get you one free drink at each of the six establishments. This is a rain or shine event so will have a back-up location if rained out.

The annual Young Life Triathlon of Little Detroit Lake at the City Beach Saturday is an annual August event. Hundreds of participants spend the morning swimming, running and biking to the finish line. If you’re looking to get your feet wet, try the sprint course with a 500-meter swim, 20K bike ride and 2.92 mile run. Or look into the stand-up paddleboard and kayak division if you feel swimming-challenged. Make it fun with friends by entering the relay team challenge.

In the Pedal Punk theater show we experience the excitement, artistry and thrill that occurs when a wacky bike shop mechanic interacts with cyclists and bikes. He repairs more than broken pieces. He creates wondrous machines and inspires the cyclist in all of us to become a Pedal Punk.
