From the moment you set foot on the Wildflower Golf Course, you will realize this is a special place to play the game of golf. Designed by Joel Goldstrand, one of the premier golf course architects in the Midwest, the course’s distinctive “Prairie Links” design is unique in Minnesota. Players may see the open prairie as a chance to “let’r fly”, but beware of Wildflower Golf Course’s 86 bunkers and vast expanses of prairie grass, which are difficult challenges at best. A course rating of 74.2 and a Slope rating of 139 from the “tips” ranks Wildflower among the State’s most challenging courses. Designed with four sets of bent grass tees, the course promises all levels a truly enjoyable experience.
PRACTICE: The full amenity practice range is second to none in the area. One can utilize the recently expanded practice chipping green surrounded by mature oak trees, sharpen their putting on the practice green located adjacent to the clubhouse, or practice their full swing attempting to hit the backside of the 350 yard range. The practice range is expansive enough to accommodate over 25 players at one time.
PLAY: This par 72, 18-hole course features over 7,000 yards of lush fairways, five sets of tee boxes, and a challenging, yet rewarding amount of sand and native prairie grasses, guaranteeing a memorable and enjoyable track for players of all skill levels.
Wildflower Golf Course is located 15 minutes south of Detroit Lakes, 45 minutes east of the Fargo-Moorhead area, and just three hours northwest of the Twin Cities.
Fair Hills Resort Executive 9
The Fair Hills Resort Executive 9-hole course is a par 31 course perfect for beginners learning the game to experienced players looking to challenge their skills and everyone in between. The Executive 9 at Fair Hills Resort was designed for a quick, family-friend game of golf. Located across the highway from Wildflower, the Fair Hills Resort Executive 9-hole course is open to the public and complimentary to all resort guests!

Lessons and Clinics
A golf clinic can be scheduled for any size outing or family group. We can tailor clinics or private lessons to your needs. Lessons are a great way to start your golf outing. . . . with narrow approach shots to many greens. Rolling fairways make every shot count! Pay attention to pin placement!!! Several Tee boxes for every level to play. The unique 150 markers are large boulders that are very helpful for shot placement. The staff is great, and clearly on their game. Saturday they hosted their biggest event of the year. Every time I go on vacation in the area I make sure to play this course at least once. It has some challenging holes that make you think strategy and then has some holes where you can swing away on those expensive drivers. It is a great mix and they keep the course in good shape whatever time of year I am up there. If you are looking for a course in the area you won’t be disappointed with Wildflower! – Eric C. “We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge in Detroit Lakes, Mn. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. We stayed in the Resort Room adjoining to the Retreat Room. It was very nice for our family so we could have access to each others room and to have use of a Kitchen. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and our son was participating in the Pine to Palm Tournament. Nice location to golf course & downtown. The rooms were clean and the amenities of having a dock for our boat and use of paddle boat & Kayakes was especially nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast; especially the waffles and pancakes. The Ice water cooler was very refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge & will be back on any future trips to the Detroit Lakes area.”
