It’s go time for the 2026 ULTRA Snowmobile Rally &  Swap Meet run on Saturday, February 21, 2026 on Detroit Lake in front of ZORBAZ. Show Registration runs from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m., and Trophies will be presented at noon. Be sure to buy raffle tickets for thousands of dollars in cash and other great prizes.

All of the money raised at the ULTRA Vintage Snowmobile Rally will go to help maintain the trails of Becker County, which the ULTRA Snowmobile Club helps groom. It’s a fundraiser to help us support the groomers to keep the trails up and keep people coming into the area during winter. After the trophies are awarded, there will be a parade of snowmobiles, and beginning the ride to each of the bars participating in the event. Every bar will be giving away prizes as well. There will be hats, sweatshirts, coffee, donuts, and other food for sale on the lake.

• Show Registraton: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM; Show Classes: Antique to Present. Trophy for Best Dressed in Vintage Apparel.
• Trophies Awarded: 12:00 PM
• Ride: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM; Door prizes will be deposited at any stop.
• Location: On Detroit Lake in front of ZORBAZ (402 W Lake Dr, Detroit Lakes, MN 56501)

About The Ultra Snowmobile Club

The Ultra Snowmobile Club hosts the Annual Vintage Snowmobile Rally and Swap Meet at the Detroit Lakes Polar Fest. The club maintains a large portion of Becker County snowmobile trails, organizes Youth Snowmobile Training and ladies-only rides. The club promotes snowmobiling with a float in the Northwest Water Carnival Parade and a booth at the Becker County Fair. Meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of every month (except in Nov & Dec), check Facebook for times and places. General membership meetings are open to the public, so you are invited to come see what our club has to offer.

About Detroit Lakes Polar Fest

Detroit Lakes Polar Fest is is a 17-day winter festival that features a multitude of outdoor winter activities. It is held in early and mid-February with the plunge and fireworks on the last Saturday night of Polar Fest. Polar Fest was started in 1996 by Erika Johnson, previous owner of Lakeside Tavern. She loved winter and wanted to see some sort of celebration of winter by the lake and outside her restaurant. Coincidentally, Ron Zeman, former Develop DL board member, heard of people jumping into a hole in the lake to raise money for an organization. He took that idea to the Boys & Girls Club and the “Polar Fest Plunge” was born. Unfortunately, in 2002 a lack of support left Polar Fest with only its key event, the Polar Plunge.

In 2005, a group of crazy, winter-loving citizens came together to reinvigorate and warm up Polar Fest. Since then, Polar Fest has since continued with the pinnacle event being the Polar Fest Plunge into Little Detroit Lake. However, many other activities including golfing on the lake, polar explorer presentations, dances and more have been added. In 2008, fireworks on the last Saturday evening were added, becoming one of the highlights of the week-long winter celebration. Don’t miss one of Minnesota’s most fun winter festivals!
