2026 Polar Fest Plunge

Don’t miss the 2026 Detroit Lakes Polar Fest Plunge on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Little Detroit Lake Near Lakeside Tavern between 1pm-3pm. This Detroit Lakes Polar Fest Plunge promises chills and thrills for the entire family! A minimum pledge of $100 is due at check-in and can be raised by reaching out to family, friends and businesses to support your plunge for the Club. We encourage plungers to raise more money to earn awesome prizes such as swag. There is also a costume contest with cash prizes for the top FOUR costumes, either group or individual. At our prior Polar Fest Plunges, around 200 people in costumes leapt through a hole cut in the ice into the freezing waters of Detroit Lake. Although only a select few will be willing to take the plunge, everyone can jump on board with the cause it supports.

Support the Youth of Detroit Lakes
This event is full of chills and thrills as participants jump into icy Little Detroit Lake to raise funds to support afterschool and summer programming for the hundreds of youth who attend Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. The program that funds raised provides is designed to give children tools and experiences to help them grow into productive, caring and responsible citizens.

About The Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes & Perham
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Detroit Lakes & Perham serve over 850 children from Becker and Otter Tail Counties in Minnesota. Our Clubs provide structured after school and summer programming for children between 5 and 18 years of age. School year programming is offered between September and May, and summer programming is offered between June and August. Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club website.
