Musky Stalker Guide Service in Detroit Lakes Minnesota

Musky Stalker Guide Service in Detroit Lakes

Since 2008, Captain Dave Williamson and Musky Stalker Guide Service has guided 100s of clients from all over the U.S. and from other countries like Canada, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands on successful Muskie outings. In that time there have been well over 1000 muskies caught on these fishing trips with over 100 Giant fifty plus inchers caught by our clients. With any sort of guiding or fishing experience is everything, nothing can make you more prepared than time on the water. With 1000s of hours and the experience we have, we can tailor a Muskie fishing trip for any client to meet your fishing abilities and give you the best shot a catching a Monster Muskie. We have had clients from 6 to 87 years old catch muskies on my trips. We are not making these statements trying to boast but I do think it’s important for you as the consumer to know if you hire Musky Stalker Guide Service, that you are hiring a guide with the experience and the knowledge to put you on the fish of your dreams.

The lakes that we guide on most of the season are located in the Alexandria or Detroit Lakes areas of Minnesota – just a couple hours from the Twin Cities or Fargo. Miltona, West Battle, Big Detroit, Pelican and Lobster lakes are considered by many to be among the best musky waters in Minnesota. Over the years my clients and I have caught numerous 50″ class fish from each one of these lakes.

Muskie Fishing Guide Service for: Central and Northern Minnesota lakes, including Big Detroit, Miltona, West Battle, Pelican, and Lobster. Please note that all muskies caught by Musky Stalker Guide Service, LLC will be released to ensure the future of our limited resource.

About Captain Dave Williamson: Captain Dave has found many patterns and lures that catch muskies throughout the season on the waters that he fishes. He takes a hands on approach when it comes to teaching you how to successfully use these tactics and lures. His number one goal is to make sure that you catch a muskie, but he also strives to teach you some things on the water that will make you a better all around muskie fisherman in the future. Musky Stalker Guide Service is fully licensed and insured.

Fishing Big Detroit Lake: Big Detroit is a 3,067 acre lake located in the city of Detroit Lakes, MN. Since 1989 Big Detroit has been stocked every other year with 3,500 Leech Lake strain of muskie fingerlings. Recently this lake has become recognized as one of the top muskie lakes in Minnesota. With a healthy forage base and a large number of muskies, there is a real opportunity to catch a musky of a lifetime. We have been catching some real nice 50″s out here for the last few years, but what I consider unique to this lake is that we have had many days that we have boated multiple 50″s on the same trip! That is something rare on any muskie waters.

W

The Detroit Lakes area abounds with beautiful parks, lakes, rivers, hiking & biking trails and more . . .
Detroit Lakes, Becker County, and the surrounding area offers so many recreational and outdoor activities that it is difficult to fit them into one visit. With over 400 lakes within a 25-mile radius, and with beautiful rivers and streams (not to mention the Mississippi Headwaters), many parks and trails have been created to provide public access.

Parks, such as the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge, provide cross-country and snow mobiling trails in the winter– and even more trails for hiking and biking during the spring, summer and fall months.

You can also enjoy the natural beauty from your car. The Lake Country Scenic Byway is an 88-mile corridor that follows Highways 34 and 71. Along its route, the Byway uniquely spans three different types of geographic terrain.

MINNESOTA TRIPADVISOR GUEST

“We enjoyed our stay at The Lodge in Detroit Lakes, Mn. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. We stayed in the Resort Room adjoining to the Retreat Room. It was very nice for our family so we could have access to each others room and to have use of a Kitchen. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and our son was participating in the Pine to Palm Tournament. Nice location to golf course & downtown. The rooms were clean and the amenities of having a dock for our boat and use of paddle boat & Kayakes was especially nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast; especially the waffles and pancakes.  The Ice water cooler was very refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge & will be back on any future trips to the Detroit Lakes area.”
