TripAdvisor is the leading online travel review website. You won't find many hotels that provide a direct link to their reviews (for obvious reasons). We do, however, because we know how hard we work to provide the best stay possible for our guests. Our reviewers know it, and so will you after only one stay.
Feb 22, 2010 - My siblings and I hosted a 50th anniversary party for our parents at the The Lodge on Lake Detroit... and we could not be more pleased with the experience.
Jim, the Group Experience Coordinator, was an absolute pleasure to work with... he had great ideas and suggestions for the party, and was so accommodating to any special requests we presented. When the big day arrived, he and his staff set everything up, allowing me to relax and enjoy my family!
The great service and warm, beautiful ambiance at the Lodge made for the perfect venue for my family's special weekend. Everything from the delicious, free hot breakfast, to the pool and hot tub for our guests to enjoy, to the amazing rooms and the lovely 1200 Place banquet facility, helped come together to make it an unforgettable weekend. The staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating and service-oriented, a *huge* plus in my book.
It was the first time we stayed at the Lodge and took advantage of its facilities...but it certainly will not be the last. It would be the perfect location for a girlfriends' getaway, a couple's weekend, a corporate retreat, a spa experience... what fun it would be for families in the summertime, with their private beach... so many possibilities, and all in a warm, luxurious atmosphere.
I highly recommend the Lodge on Lake Detroit; we could not be happier with our experience there.
