Green Valley Golf Course, opened in 1964, is a 9 hole, par 35 golf course in Lake Park, Minnesota. Men’s tees are 2,800 yards and Ladies tees total 2,300 yards. Closest to mountainous golf in CREA. Water is in play on five holes. Three sets of tees. Green Valley Golf Course is a challenge for all golf levels. Located 6 miles south of Lake Park; 1 mile northwest of Big Cormorant Lake.

Amenities: Club and cart rentals, concessions, Men and Ladies’ Nights, special arrangements for group play.

The original name for the course was “Green Valley Golf Course”. This golf course was built by James Plourde Sr., and his son Henry Plourde. James, with the influence of his management team out of
Massachusetts and a couple of locals convinced Mr. Plourde that golf was going to be the next big thing in sports and he should convert his field into a golf course. They went to work in 1963 to build the course. In 1964 the little nine hole golf course was opened. Since opening, they converted one of the easiest Par 4’s into the toughest par 4 in the state, Hole No. 5.

The rooms were clean and the amenities of having a dock for our boat and use of paddle boat & Kayakes was especially nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast; especially the waffles and pancakes.  The Ice water cooler was very refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge & will be back on any future trips to the Detroit Lakes area.”

Lakeview Golf Course is unique 18 hole course that was opened in 1980. It is part of the Detroit Country Club. The Lakeview Course plays to par of 31-33-64, with nine par three holes, eight par four holes, and a closing par five. The picturesque course features large greens, with traps bordering all 18 holes. The golfer is offered some spectacular views, especially from the tee area (situated at the highest point on the two courses) at the 7th hole. While the yardage may appear to be short, the course is deceptively difficult. Course record is 57, set in 1999.

A newly expanded and remodeled clubhouse, driving range, practice area and putting green are all part of the Lakeview Golf Course Complex. Lakeview is a great facility for corporate outings, church potlucks and any small golf outing. Lakeview is very golf friendly.

Maple Hills Golf Club is a 9-hole, men’s par 36 (3,023 yards) and women’s par 35 (2,333 yards). We provide a practice putting green and aqua driving range. We also provide a full-line pro shop with custom clubs, reasonably priced pro line clubs, club repair, lessons, motorized carts, rental clubs, and refreshments. Maple Hills Golf Club is located between Frazee and Detroit Lakes (about 5 minutes from Detroit Lakes on Hwy 10) and 45 minutes from Fargo.

It was very nice for our family so we could have access to each others room and to have use of a Kitchen. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and our son was participating in the Pine to Palm Tournament. Nice location to golf course & downtown. The rooms were clean and the amenities of having a dock for our boat and use of paddle boat & Kayakes was especially nice. We enjoyed the complementary breakfast; especially the waffles and pancakes.  The Ice water cooler was very refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge & will be back on any future trips to the Detroit Lakes area.”

Great Golf Destination

This is a great golf course. I personally like this course the best of all the courses I have visited. I’m from Colorado with a golf course within 5 miles of me every where I go in the Denver metro area. I can be difficult but that is why I like it. There is a beautiful forest that weaves in and out of the course, thus the name Forest Hills. Plenty of hazards to challenge you. I try to go here at least 2 times a year. Great place! Rock ‘n Waters Extreme Mini Golf

Whether you’re looking to have fun, or wish to celebrate a special event through an activity, the Rock ‘n Waters mini golf course is sure to please. Each hole is fun to play. There is a water fall in the center of the course which is fun to watch. There are rivers that if you get your ball in, will bring it to a pond that you can use the net to get it out. Enjoy the challenge of avoiding the water on holes bordered by it. Great entertainment for the whole family.
